Adventure #128

It is finally time to reveal our kitchen! We finished some time ago however, I have been a slacker about posting. Lets start with the before pictures. You know how I love before and after pictures.

In the above pictures we have already: painted the walls and ceiling, replaced light switch covers and lights, and put in a new floor. Remember this carpet? Yikes!

Here are the after pictures.

So what did we do? Matt removed a bunch of nails and screws from the cupboards. Don't ask. Not sure what they were doing there. We cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned the cupboards. We scrubbed, scraped, and washed the gook off. Super gross. Matt took the doors and hardware off. Then he used a spray paint gun to paint the doors. We painted the frame of the cupboards and the drawers. Several coats. We replaced the old hardware and put in knobs. It took me forever to decide which type. Matt put in a new fan over the stove. We bought molding to bridge the gap between the cupboards and the floor. We replaced the heater vent. I cleaned underneath the cupboards and painted. Not to shabby. We still hope to put in a new counter, replace the sink and faucet, and buy new appliances. One day. For now this looks much better.
