Matt and I drove to Mount Charleston to hike in the mountains. Yes, Las Vegas has mountains with trees. Commence pictures of trees.
We chose a hike called Big Falls which is not really a hike. We left the trail to follow a riverbed to the waterfall.
We did a lot of rock scrambling.
We arrived at Big Falls and were thrilled to see it still flowing, even if it was more of a baby waterfall.
It was freezing by the waterfall. The falling water would turn to ice as it hit the rocks below. We were surrounded by snow.
I took a silly action shot of Matt right before he jumped to a rock below.
We came upon a large boulder in the riverbed but thankfully someone had propped a log against the boulder to climb down.
This raven was hopping around on the trail long enough for me to take a picture.
