Hello everyone! Polar Bear and Barbie have just returned from an exciting adventure. And this time Mom joined us. Yeah Mom! Her first time to Europe. We visited the amazing City of Lights aka Paris. We left on Tuesday March 6th by taking the direct flight straight from Salt Lake. Mom and Matt sat by each other. I sat by a sweet elderly lady. She had on a full piece purple suit with the classic old lady Reebok shoes. She had several grocery bags full of who knows what, three coats, and several blankets. I helped her with her tray table, TV, and seat controls. She told me her life story, while trying to convert me to her church. She said to me, "Now I take it you're a good Christian girl who reads her bible?" Ha Ha. I love airplane rides. We arrived in Paris and took the train to Gare Du Nord. We checked into Hotel Jarry. A nice place on a little side street. We were on the fifth floor, no lift of course. The highlight of our room was definitely the bathroom. Check it out.
Views of the street from our room.
After we got settled we wandered the streets. We bought crepes and stopped at the grocery store. We made our way to Basilique du Sacre-Coeur or Basilica of the Sacred Heart. By this time it was raining steadily. We explored the church built during the 1870s as an act of repentance after the Franco-Prussian War.
After we walked through part of Montmarte. We stopped by the Moulin Rouge. 175 Euros for dinner and a show. Per person. Yikes. We had sandwiches and pastries for dinner. Pastries everyday.
Love paris! and sacre coure is amazing!!!! Super jealous as always!
