Adventure #140
Hello everyone! I am here to report another travel adventure of Matty and Elsie. We finally decided to bust into Asia, with Hong Kong being our destination. We woke up early on Tuesday morning for a short flight to LAX. Then onto Narita in a 747. Our first 747. Check out how big this plane is.
Yep. The plane has two levels. Stairs in an airplane. Crazy. We had a short layover, then onto Hong Kong. We arrived on Wednesday at midnight. We took the bus into downtown to find our hotel. We stayed in a hostel on the thirteenth floor. Our room was the size of a large closet. We had to store our bags under the bed because there was no floor space. The toilet had a pull flush and the entire bathroom was the shower. Good times.
We got up the next morning and ate breakfast from the Seven Eleven around the corner from our hotel. On a side note. Matt loves foreign candy. Every morning he would buy more candy from the Seven Eleven. His carry on going home was full of candy. Continuing on. We rode the metro to Hong Kong Island and walked through a park to ride the Peak Tram up to Victoria Hill.
We were early to the tram, so we did not have to wait in line and had the whole car to ourselves except for a few Asian tourists.
There are amazing views from Victoria Peak of the city. Matt and I took a walk around part of the mountain to see the views. During part of our walk, there were two girls in front of us taking pictures of themselves every few steps. They offered to take our picture.
