Adventure #100

Matt and I decided to take a day trip to San Francisco last week. However, the flight was delayed, so last minute we took the flight to Portland. We had no idea what we would do there, but that is part of the adventure. We rode the light rail into downtown and stopped at the farmer's market. We wandered through the aisles for awhile and then decided to eat some lunch by the river. I had a delicious falafel sandwich and Matt had Pad Thai.

After, we walked through non-existent China Town. We also went to some downtown stores and the Pioneer Mall.

We stumbled upon Voodoo Donuts and decided to brave the line to see what all the fuss was about. After 45 minutes of waiting we were rewarded with some amazing donuts. Between the two of us we bought six donuts; Grape Ape, Voodoo Doll, Maple Bacon Bar, McMinville Cream, Memphis Mafia, and Old Dirty Bastard. (Sorry about that last one, but he was delicious.) Then, we took the light rail back to the airport. We did not get on the first flight, but the second had plenty of seats. Overall a super fun time. We are definitely adding Portland to our list of day trips. On a side note. 100 blog posts! Who rocks? Elsie rocks!
